Buying furniture is one of the few large purchases most households still make without comparing more than two or three options. Showrooms are spread across a city, prices are rarely displayed, and the person selling you a bed set is usually several steps removed from the workshop that built it. An exhibition compresses all of that into one hall and three days.

From 2 to 4 October 2026, Pakistan Interiors Furniture Expo brings that format to Peshawar. This guide covers what is confirmed, what to expect on the floor, and how to get the most out of the visit — followed by a section for furniture businesses weighing up whether they should be exhibiting rather than attending.

What the PIFE Peshawar furniture exhibition is

Pakistan Interiors Furniture Expo is a touring furniture exhibition that has run since 2017 and has now staged 67 events across 14 cities, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Rahim Yar Khan, Mirpur in Azad Kashmir — and Peshawar. Each stop follows the same format: three days, one venue, manufacturers and brands showing directly to the public and to trade buyers at the same time.

That last detail is what makes the format unusual. Most furniture events in the region are either consumer sales or closed trade fairs. PIFE runs both audiences through the same hall, which is why the list of exhibiting brands tends to include manufacturers who would not normally open their doors to a walk-in customer, and why a homeowner can end up negotiating with the person who actually owns the workshop.

Entry is free at every PIFE exhibition and Peshawar is no exception. Registering in advance simply saves time at the door.

Why visit the furniture expo in Peshawar

Four practical reasons, in the order they usually matter to people — and there are more reasons to visit a PIFE exhibition on the main site:

  • You can compare properly. A hundred-plus brands in one hall means you can sit on eleven sofas in an afternoon instead of driving between showrooms over three weekends. Comparison is the single thing online furniture shopping cannot give you.
  • Exhibition-only pricing. PIFE lists up to 50% off for the Peshawar edition, available during exhibition days only. Brands price aggressively at shows because they are competing against the stand opposite, not against their own showroom across town.
  • You meet the manufacturer. Ask what the frame is made of, how the foam is graded, what the lead time is on a custom size — and get the answer from someone who knows, rather than from a retail assistant relaying it.
  • The guarantee. PIFE guarantees work for five years against faulty workmanship and rectifies it at its own cost. For a large purchase from a brand you have not bought from before, that is a meaningful piece of cover.

Brands price aggressively at a show because they are competing against the stand opposite, not against their own showroom across town.

And one reason that is less often said out loud: an exhibition is a low-pressure way to find out what you actually like. Plenty of people arrive intending to buy a dining set and leave having reconsidered the whole room.

What visitors will find on the floor

Local makers exhibit alongside national brands — a Peshawar stand on a previous PIFE floor.

PIFE organises its exhibitors into eight product categories. Expect all of them to be represented, though the mix at any given city varies with which brands book:

  • Bedroom & Living — bed sets, sofa sets, centre tables and complete living-room collections.
  • Sofas & Upholstery — upholstered seating and made-to-order pieces from specialist manufacturers.
  • Dining & Cabinets — dining sets, display units and fully customised cabinetry.
  • Mattresses & Sleep — spring and foam mattresses, memory, cotton, polyester and neck pillows.
  • Office Furniture — chairs, desks, storage and customised commercial fit-out options.
  • Outdoor & Garden — wooden, wicker, synthetic rattan, steel and resin garden furniture.
  • Home & Wall Décor — wall art, clocks, centre pieces, runners and home fragrance.
  • Kids & Wellness — children’s bedroom sets and cradles, recliners, massagers and air purifiers.

If you are furnishing a whole house, that list is close to the full brief in one visit. If you are replacing one thing, it is still worth walking the entire floor before committing — the stand you were heading for is rarely the one you buy from.

Come with three things

Room measurements, photographs of the space on your phone, and a rough ceiling on what you intend to spend. Every experienced expo buyer carries all three, and every stand will ask for at least one of them. Doorway and stairwell widths are worth measuring too — more sofas are returned for not fitting through a door than for any fault with the sofa.

Why furniture businesses should exhibit

The case for exhibiting is different from the case for visiting, and it is worth separating what PIFE specifically provides from what any well-run exhibition offers.

What PIFE provides to exhibitors

  • A finished, customisable stall in a high-traffic exhibition hall — not a bare floor plot you have to build out.
  • Brand promotion inside the visitor campaign PIFE runs in each city ahead of the show.
  • Move-in the day before, with layout, power and access handled by the events operation.
  • A listing among the featured furniture brands at PIFE.
  • Operational support before, during and after the three days.

What exhibiting does for a furniture brand generally

  • Access to buyers who buy. Retailers, dealers and bulk buyers attend furniture exhibitions specifically to source. The conversation starts several steps further along than a cold call.
  • Lead generation at volume. Three days of concentrated footfall produces more qualified conversations than most brands generate in a quarter — provided someone is capturing names rather than just handing out cards.
  • Product launches with an audience already assembled. A new collection lands differently when a hundred people see it in an hour.
  • Dealer and distribution relationships. Distribution deals are still made face to face in this industry. An exhibition floor is where that introduction happens.
  • Industry exposure and networking. Other manufacturers, suppliers, designers and specifiers are all in the same building.

PIFE lists the brands that tend to get most out of it as manufacturers launching collections, importers and wholesalers looking for retail distribution, office and hospitality furniture suppliers, mattress, décor and outdoor living brands, and regional makers expanding beyond their home market. If a Peshawar or wider Khyber Pakhtunkhwa manufacturer falls into that last group, a home-city edition is an unusually cheap way to test national positioning. The full case sits on the why exhibit page.

Why Peshawar

Peshawar is the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the commercial centre for a large regional catchment, and it has a woodworking tradition that long predates any of the brands exhibiting this October. Carving and joinery have been made and sold in the city for generations, and the local appetite for solid, well-built furniture reflects that.

What a touring exhibition adds is range. A buyer in Peshawar who wants to compare a locally made bed set against what a Lahore or Karachi manufacturer is producing this season has, in an ordinary month, no practical way to do it side by side. For three days in October, they do — and so does every architect, contractor and hotel buyer in the region who would otherwise be specifying from a catalogue.

Warsak Road is a straightforward approach from most of the city and from the ring road, which makes the venue reachable for visitors travelling in from outside Peshawar as well.

Information requires confirmation: PIFE has not published parking, shuttle or accessibility details for the Marbella Cue venue. Check the upcoming events page closer to the date, or contact the PIFE team.

Who should come

PIFE’s own visitor profile covers both halves of the room, and Peshawar will be no different:

  • Homeowners and the general public — furnishing, renovating or replacing.
  • Architects and interior designers — sourcing and specifying for client projects.
  • Decorators and furnishers — comparing suppliers across categories in one visit.
  • Real-estate developers, hotel and hi-rise contractors — bulk and contract requirements.
  • Dealers of furniture accessories and hardware, and upholstery manufacturers.
  • Trade associations, chambers of commerce, foreign missions and trade delegations.
  • Industrialists and investors looking at the sector.

Register, measure your rooms, set a ceiling, and give yourself longer than you think you need — the doors are open until 10pm, and the last two hours are usually the calmest time to talk to a manufacturer properly.
